VIENNA – An argument can be made that career .300 hitter and former Pittsburgh Pirates great Al Oliver deserves a place in Cooperstown as a member of Baseball’s Hall of Fame.
Regardless if that call ever comes or never does from the Veterans Committee, Oliver is in a good place because he knows what his contributions were during a career which spanned 18 years spent with six organizations.
On Saturday night, Oliver served as the keynote speaker inside Grand Pointe Conference Center for Ohio Valley University’s Leadoff Dinner for Fighting Scots Baseball. Among those gathered were all OVU baseball coach Chad Porter and all 31 players on his team… Link to the full story
